A male-only performance of “Call Me Al” makes up part of the Jubilee celebrations for the NYB this year. This reflects the significant growth in male participants at the National Youth Ballet since its launch in 1988. The BBC has filmed and broadcast a news film including interviews with the dancers. Lauren was a guest of honour at NB’s recent fund raising dinner at Draper’s Hall. One of the auction prizes, donated by Patron, Dame Monica Mason, was tickets for two in the wings at The Royal Opera house to see Lauren dance Alice in Christopher Wheeldon’s Royal Ballet production of ‘Alice in Wonderland’
