Royal Outside Event

NYB was thrilled to be invited as guests to perform at the recent  Royal Diamond Jubilee Gala in aid of ChildLine attended by HRH Princess Beatrice.

The exciting event was sponsored by First News Children’s Newspaper.

Founder and Artistic Director  NYB, Jill Tookey and the cast of Jo Meredith’s  lovely ballet, ’25’  were presented to  Princess Beatrice.

Talented children from all over the country had auditioned to win an opportunity to perform at The Savoy Theatre, London on Sunday 4th November.

NYB Dress Rehearsal Recorded by Meridian TV

The Dress Rehearsal of our 25th Anniversary piece was recorded by Meridian TV with the following words:

It started out as a little dance workshop that blossomed into an internationally renowned ballet company. The National Youth Ballet has been going for twenty five years

And tonight it’s putting on quite a show to celebrate. The silver anniversary extravaganza will be performed at a theatre in Tonbridge.

Lauren Cuthbertson Becomes Patron of NYB

The celebrated ballerina and former winner of “Woman of the Future” award has accepted an invitation to become patron of NYB.

Lauren was a guest of honour at NB’s recent fund raising dinner at Draper’s Hall.  One of the auction prizes, donated by Patron, Dame Monica Mason, was tickets for two in the wings at The Royal Opera house to see Lauren dance Alice in Christopher Wheeldon’s Royal Ballet production of  ‘Alice in Wonderland’




Charlie Bruce wins “So You Think You Can Dance”

Huge congratulations to Charlie Bruce who won the UK version of So You Think You Can Dance on BBC1.
