NYB’s Beyond Ballet: Emerging Choreographers Platform is becoming a highly successful platform for young and emerging choreographers across the country. Whilst retaining our classical roots and inspiring even the youngest members of NYB, our mission is also to nurture students’ wide range of creative talents and to reach Beyond Ballet to encourage budding choreographers, giving them invaluable opportunities to stage their own works: working with professionals to develop their style, select and work with their music, create their desired costume and lighting and rehearse their dancers. The recent 2015 Gala saw 5 young choreographers stage their brand new works at London’s Sadler’s Wells.

BBC News London recently featured Beyond Ballet prior to the 2015 Gala, featuring student choreographers Arielle Smith & Eleanor Marsh, choreographer Jamie Neale and NYB Mentor and choreographer Jo Meredith.

Please help us to Raise the NYB Barre: Target £20,000

Since our London Gala evening in September 2014, NYB received a generous first donation of £1500, launching our new  Raising the Barre ‘Beyond Ballet’ Appeal.

We are thrilled with all the donations so far but we still have some way to go to reach our target of £20,000 and would be very grateful for all your support to help us achieve this goal.

We are very excited to see the barre being raised and are extremely grateful to all our supporters.
