Tierney Lawlor
Tierney (she/her) began her training in Bournemouth at her mum’s dance school before going on to The Place Centre for Advanced Training and, at the age of 18, being offered a place at Rambert School.
During her time at the school, Tierney choreographed and performed in many student pieces and worked with choreographers Monique Jonas, Julie Cunningham and Connor Scott. She was also the Conservatoire for Dance and Drama student governor during her final year.
Upon graduating, Tierney turned her focus to teaching and choreography. She is currently studying with The Royal Ballet School on their Diploma of Dance Teaching and is on the contemporary faculty at The Place CAT. She has also taught at Performers College, Millenium Performing Arts and was a Beyond Ballet Artist with NYB last year.
“My biggest inspiration would have to be my mum. I feel so lucky to share a love of dance with her and give her full credit for inspiring me to pursue teaching as a career.”
