Anna Meadmore

Anna trained at Elmhurst Ballet School and in her early career was as a performer and choreographer with independent dance groups, in film and cabaret.  She graduated from The Royal Ballet School Teachers’ Training Course in 1991, and gained an MA in Dance Studies from the University of Surrey in 1996.

Anna has taught at The Royal Ballet School since 1992, also managing the School’s special archival Collections; she was Head of Academic Dance Studies (2005–15) and Curator of White Lodge Museum & Ballet Resource Centre (2007–15). She instigated and organised the conference, Ninette de Valois: Adventurous Traditionalist (1–3 April 2011), contributing to the resulting book and DVD (Dance Books, 2012). She is currently co-editing a book on Robert Helpmann with Professor Richard Cave (Dance Books, 2017). In April 2017 Anna was awarded an Arts and Humanities Research
