Emilie Depauly-Viguié

An amateur ballet dancer since age 3, Emilie (she/her) obtained a master’s degree in engineering. After a first career in the corporate world she decided to follow her dream, and trained in costume construction.

Since graduating, Emilie has worked for the Royal Opera House and the Royal Ballet School, and as a freelance tutu maker. Although she makes a wide variety of costumes ranging from opera to side saddle riding, ballet costumes have a special place in her heart and she is never happier than in a theatre, surrounded by tutus.

Work experience at the National Youth Ballet of Great Britain was her very first experience of the costume world which makes it very special to be returning to the organisation in a professional capacity.
