Jo Meredith is Creative Director of NYB and an international movement director, dance educator and choreographer. She worked as a dance artist for fourteen years performing in performances on Broadway and in London’s West End as well touring nationally.
She is Creative Director of ENB Youth Co-Connect an accessible youth dance initiative developed for English National Ballet. She was Creative Director of ENB Youth Co for 5 years. She currently leads the Professional Development Module on London Studio Centre’s MA in Dance Performance course. For Youth Music Theatre UK she directed and choreographed More in Common a musical inspired by the life and work of murdered MP Jo Cox. She directed the Royal Opera House Thurrock Community Chorus in a work inspired by Windrush which was performed at Tilbury Docks. Jo is an alumna of the National Youth Ballet and has created seven ballets for the company. Jo is passionate about inclusive practice and worked at The Vale SEND School in Tottenham for seven years developing initiatives for young dancers to take part in dance activities. This has led her to develop NYB’s Applied Ballet- All In! programme in association with partners South East Dance and Parable Dance.
