Louise Bennett

Louise Bennett trained at the Royal Ballet School and danced with English National Ballet, the Norwegian National Ballet and the Royal Swedish Ballet. She is currently a ballet master at Ballett am Rhein in Düsseldorf, Germany, as well as working on a freelance basis as a choreographer, guest teacher and rehearsal director.

Louise has created pieces for a range of schools, companies and freelance projects, including A Frosty Fable, Ada and Flora for National Youth Ballet, Twin Figures for Ballet Central, The Umbrellas of Cherbourg for Encore Dance Company and Concerto in Red for The Royal Ballet School. She was also selected to take part in Wayne McGregor’s Dancelines choreographic workshop at The Royal Opera House.

As a ballet master at Ballett am Rhein, Louise regularly teaches company class and assists/leads rehearsals of work by choreographers including José Limón, Sharon Eyal, Andrey Kaydanovskiy and artistic director Demis Volpi. She is a guest teacher for companies including Ballett Zürich, Rambert, Company Wayne McGregor, Ballet Black and Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures, and for educational institutions including Zürich University of the Arts and Balettakademien Stockholm.
