Richard Bermange

Training/Education: Richard Bermange (he/him) is a choreographer, director and teacher. He trained at Central School of Ballet, graduating on 2005, and returned to completed a Masters Degree in Choreography in 2016.
As a choreographer and rehearsal director, Richard has had his work commissioned both in the UK and internationally, he created Swan Lake for The National Ballet of Ireland, as well as works for Ballet Central, London Studio Centre, ENBYouthCo, The National Youth Ballet and a range of independently produced productions across many genres.
Appointed Creative Director of ENBYouthCo in 2019-2023, he led the company through four successful seasons having choreographed and commissioned several original works. He first worked with The National Youth Ballet in 2019 when he choreographed Carnival for the NYB Wonderlands production. He currently teaches on the faculty of London Studio Centre, and is a frequent guest teacher, ballet master and rehearsal director.
Richard danced with K-Ballet, Tokyo, Tivoli Ballet, Copenhagen and The National Ballet of Ireland, English National Ballet, Peter Schaufuss Ballet, Opera North and other freelance engagements.
His biggest inspiration is working with young people and seeing them gain skills, self confidence and friendships through dance.
