Richard Bermange

Richard Bermange (he/him)  is a teacher, choreographer, director and dance artist. He trained at Central School of Ballet, and had a successful performance career, dancing across the world with companies including; K-Ballet, Tivoli Ballet, The National Ballet of Ireland, English National Ballet, Peter Schaufuss Ballet and Opera North. Richard is a choreographer, director and rehearsal director, having his work commissioned both in the UK and internationally, notably creating his production of Swan Lake for The National Ballet of Ireland, as well as works for Ballet Central, London Studio Centre, ENBYouthCo, National Youth Ballet and a range of independently produced productions across ballet, musical theatre, dance theatre and film.

He was appointed Creative Director of ENBYouthCo in 2019 and has led the company through four successful seasons having choreographed and commissioned several original works. He has been associated with National Youth Ballet since 2019 when he choreographed Carnival for the NYB Wonderlands production at Sadler’s Wells and is a member of the teaching faculty of London Studio Centre, teaching ballet, pas de deux and repertoire across all course. He completed a Masters Degree in Choreography in 2016, and is a frequent guest teacher and ballet master at a number of vocational schools and professional companies.

His biggest inspiration is his Grandma.
