Sophia Hurdley

Sophia graduated from Northern Ballet School with a Professional Dancers Diploma (ARAD) in classical and musical theatre.  She was a semi-finalist at the Genée International Ballet Competition and was a York Dance Scholar with Miss Louise Browne, OBE for 5 years.  Sophia is currently a principal dancer at New Adventures, where she joined in 2002 making her debut with the company in Matthew Bourne’s Nutcracker.

Sophia’s other career highlights include:  The Pajama Game, The Phantom of the Opera, Joseph the Musical, The Red Balloon, ENO Opera.

Choreographer

Performers College.

As well as staring in, she created the role of the Swallow in a new musical called The Happy Prince.  Other credits include “Callas” – Cloud Dance Festival.

Teacher

Performers College, Birds, Laine Theatre Arts.

Sophia is a workshop leader for New Adventures delivering workshops worldwide.
