NYB – In This Together

2020 has brought with it a raft of changes that we could not have imagined at the end of last year. During the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic we have learnt a lot about what is important in our lives. For many, the arts have been a shining beacon in an alien and sometimes overwhelming landscape. At National Youth Ballet we have been so fortunate to feel the power of our amazing community coming together. We have heard inspiring stories from our team making face masks, delivering groceries and supporting local communities. We have also been privileged to work with some of our outstanding alumni to deliver our NYB #InThisTogether programme of workshops. So far we have been lucky enough to be joined by NYB Alumni: Drew McOnie, Amelia O’Hara, Max Westwell, Jonathan Payn, James Streeter and David Ward, NYB choreographers: Louise Bennett, Charlie Brittain, Sophia Hurdley, Richard Bermange and NYB rehearsal director Ciara Clayton. We have loved hearing from some of our younger alumni, learning what they have been up to in recent months and years and sharing their voice and passion for NYB.
