Amelia O’Hara
Training/Education: Amelia (she/her) trained at The Royal Ballet School and Tring Park School for the Performing Arts, where she performed with The Royal Ballet Company and Northern Ballet Theatre.
Professional Experience: Amelia worked with Scottish Ballet, Ballet Ireland, Ballet Cymru and Peter Schaufuss Ballet Company, where she performed works by Morgann Runacre-Temple, Ohad Naharin, Christopher Hampson, Ludovic Ondiviela, Drew McOnie, Arielle Smith and Jenna Lee for various productions worldwide. She can also be spotted in the films ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ and ‘Love Sarah’.
Alongside her performing career, Amelia has always had a passion for teaching and has worked with National Youth Ballet since 2015. She advocates for wider access routes into the arts and believes in creating a positive and safe environment for students, where they can develop their skills, build confidence and discover and use their own artistic voice. She is currently completing the Royal Ballet School Diploma, specialising in Vocational Teaching, whilst teaching the Royal Ballet School Mid Associates and working as part of Birmingham Royal Ballet’s Dance Track team. She has also taught for Central School of Ballet, Ballet Boost, Ballet Ireland, ACE Dance and Music, English National Ballet’s Youth Co, Elite Ballet Project, Laine Theatre Arts and as a Movement Rehearsal Director at Mountview for Arielle Smith.
