Honor Dixon
Training/Education: Honor (she/her) is entering her Final Year at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance (NSCD) and has recently completed One Dance UK’s Young Creatives two-year programme further developing her choreographic skills. Honor’s dance training, in various styles, began in London at the Lisa Gilbert Academy (LGA). This was enriched by opportunities to dance with NYB, LCB, ENBYouthCo and Rambert Pre Vocational over several seasons.
Professional Experience: As part of the ‘Leeds 2023’ cultural celebration, Honor performed at the Yorkshire Schools Dance Festival. Previously, she has danced with and choreographed for E33 Dance Company in London. Her professional experience also includes teaching for the LGA and stage managing at the Riley Theatre (NSCD), increasing her understanding of the dance making process.
Biggest Inspiration: “I am deeply inspired by choreographic collaboration and the company of those who are pursuing the paths I aspire to follow. I hold our experiences sacred and believe that exchanging them is crucial. By creating spaces where the exploration of feelings, thoughts and perspectives are shared, collective creativity and personal growth will intersect.”
