Heather Habens

Heather trained at the Laban Centre, gaining an Honours degree in Dance Theatre and was a member of its postgraduate performance company, “Transitions”.

Performer

1994- 2006:  Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures – Adventures in Motion Pictures, Nutcracker! Swan Lake, Highland Fling, Cinderella, The Car Man and Edward Scissorhands.

Dancer

As a freelance dancer: Commercial, TV and Film projects, Opera productions with English Touring Opera, English National Opera and at Earl’s Court London and Birmingham NEC.

Choreographer

Theatre productions at Theatre Royal, Bath, (Ustinov Studio), Theatre by the Lake, Keswick, The Royal Shakespeare Company and English National Opera / Barcelona Liceu/ Beijing Festival.

Teacher

Heather has taught Contemporary and Creative Dance for numerous theatre and dance companies, and educational settings including: The Royal Shakespeare Company, New Adventures, Chantry Dance Company, Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, Playbox Theatre, Elmhurst Ballet School, The Laban Centre, London Contemporary Dance School (The Place), Rambert Evening School, and English National Ballet School.
