Jess Yeo

Jess (she/her) is a dance artist working across performance, choreography and facilitation. She toured nationally with Phoenix Dance Theatre and performed at La Villette (Paris), as part of ArtsCross (Taipei) and with Avant Garde 2.

 

With her background in Contemporary, Ballet and Street-Related Practices, Jess enjoys drawing on versatility as a tool for communication. At London Contemporary Dance School, Jess was awarded the Cohan Scholarship for Outstanding Performance Potential before completing her MA at Northern School of Contemporary Dance. 

 

Her choreography has been selected for national platforms including U.Dance and Making Moves, as well as featuring at The Place, Sadler’s Wells, Phoenix Youth Platforms and Surrey Youth Ballet. In 2019, Jess co-founded Milton Keynes Dance Theatre, where she creates full-length works for dancers in her hometown. Above all, Jess places psychological safety at the core of her process, fostering environments that encourage brave artistic decisions and elevate youth voices
