Kate Church

Kate Church is a former professional dancer, trained at the Royal Ballet School, where she graduated to perform the lead role at the Royal Opera House in Dame Ninette De Valois’ The Rake’s Progress.

Kate established her film career on the flagship arts series, The South Bank Show. Her credits as a Producer and Director include Punchdrunk: Behind the Mask (Sky Arts), BBC Young Dancer and Young Musician, The Royal Opera House Cinema relays, Glyndebourne Opera, The Turner Prize (Channel 4); films with visual artists and leading spoken word poets. Kate was also Series Producer for ‘Heni Talks: Stories of Art’. Her short films include for Channel 4’s ‘Random Acts’, as Dancer / Director in ‘Skeleton Song’ for Ana Silvera. In 2014 she co-created a dance theatre production, ‘Cassandra’, for The Royal Ballet.

Her biggest inspiration is learning from other creative and open-minded individuals from different walks of life.
