Laura Roque

Training/Education: Laura Roque (she/her), from the Azores Archipelago, trained in Performing Arts and Multimedia at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge, graduating with honours, and previously completed a professional performing arts course in Lisbon.

Professional Experience: With nearly a decade of experience in the arts, Laura has worked across live performance, film, arts administration, and digital storytelling in both Portugal and the UK. Her practice spans content creation, marketing, and audience engagement, with experience in both arts venues and independent projects.

She recently created, directed, and edited the short film I Think Before I Am with artist Jinissa Meggi, currently in post-production. Alongside her creative work, Laura freelances as a content editor and campaign coordinator for various international writers and works in ticket sales and administration at Sadler’s Wells Theatre. She has also held roles at the ADC Theatre and
Engage Hub, leading creative campaigns and supporting international projects.

Biggest Inspiration: “I’m inspired by collaboration—the ways different voices, experiences, and cultures come together to tell new stories.”
