Mattia Mollica

Beyond Ballet® Assistant Costume Supervisor

Mattia is a 2026 graduate student specialising in Costume Construction, studying on a programme delivered in partnership with the Royal Opera House and validated by UAL.

Mattia’s professional experience spans a variety of theatre and performance settings, from dressing on major West End and touring productions to working in the Dye Workshop at the Royal Ballet and Opera. A particular highlight has been working on Paddington The Musical as a dep dresser at the Savoy Theatre since its opening in late 2025. This role has given her the opportunity to support first covers through technical and dress rehearsal.

Another memorable experience was spending a month with the English National Ballet in autumn 2024, contributing to the costume preparation for their new production of The Nutcracker. During this placement, Mattia worked on several principal costumes, including those for the Sugar Plum Fairy and the Ice Queen, developing valuable skills in costume construction, alteration, and finishing for performance. Then also being able to be a part of the running wardrobe team as a dresser on their 2025/26 season of the Nutcracker at the London Coliseum.
