Mattia Mollica

Training/Education: Mattia (she/her) is a second year degree student studying costume construction, in partnership with the Royal Opera House, validated by UAL.

Professional Experience: Mattia’s professional experience ranges from Dressing for different west end tours to working in the dye workshop at the Royal Ballet and Opera. A highlight has been when she spent a month with English National Ballet working on their costumes for their new production of the Nutcracker in the autumn of 2024. For example, Mattia got to work on the Sugar Plum Fairy and Ice Queen costumes. Last year she also got the opportunity to be a costume intern with NYB where she got to work and create the costumes at the Residential Performance Company then be involved in the shows in Birmingham and London.

Biggest Inspiration: “My biggest inspiration is my family who have taught me to work hard and to be the best version of myself.”
