Paul Reeve MBE
Paul is Chief Executive of Into Film, a charitable organisation delivering a UK-wide film education programme that engages with over 12,000 schools and youth organisations, and one million children and young people aged 5-19.
Paul has been working in cultural education for over 20 years, having initially worked as a performer, director and writer in theatre and children’s television during the early part of his career. He held educational posts at the Royal Shakespeare Company and English Touring Opera before joining the Royal Opera House education department. After being appointed Director of Learning and Participation in 2006 he led a major expansion of ROH’s educational and audience engagement activities in ballet, opera, music and backstage crafts, including a number of pioneering participatory and digital initiatives. He played a central role in the development of the High House Production Park in Thurrock, which was founded on an extensive learning and community engagement programme. This included delivery of the Creative Partnerships initiative in the Thames Gateway and establishment of the Bridge Organisation for the region.
Paul has served as Chair of Trustees of East London Dance (a leading dance development organisation) and Signed Performance in Theatre (national body for promoting BSL interpretation of arts events, now named Signed Culture). He is also a member of the Cultural Learning Alliance steering group.
