Ros Chase
Training/Education: Ros (she/her) trained in Production Arts, Theatre Technology at Guildhall School of Music & Drama, graduated with a first-class degree, and was awarded the Sheriff’s Prize for demonstrating exceptional skill in Lighting Design.
Professional Experience: Ros’ Lighting Design credits in include ‘Mother’ at Sadler’s Wells and on UK Tour; ‘Warp & Weft’ at the Marylebone Theatre; ‘The Bacchae’ at the Lyric Hammersmith Theatre; ‘Tending’ at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival; ‘For a Palestinian’ at Camden People’s Theatre and Bristol Old Vic. Ros’ work has been described as ‘a masterclass in how to light a small space’ by WhatsOnStage and she was nominated for ‘best lighting design of a new play or musical’ at the Broadway World UK West End Awards 2022 for her work on ‘Rapture’ at the Pleasance Theatre.
Biggest Inspiration: ‘Paule Constable because of the quality and manner in which she works. I admire how maintains positive working relationships whilst still standing up for her design, especially as a female in lighting.’
