Ross Black
Ross Black is a degree dance student in his second year at Central School of Ballet. Ross was an NYB company member in 2019 and is very excited to be involved in the Beyond Ballet programme as a creative.
As well as performing he enjoys exploring choreography and is interested in creating his own work. He believes passionately that dance is a joy that should be shared by everyone and is a proud member of AMICI Dance Theatre Company, a unique company that integrates able-bodied & disabled artists and performers. Ross became involved with AMICI, after completing his work experience with their creative producers, Turtle Key Arts, most recently performing with the company in ‘One World’ at Lyric Hammersmith. Having been excited by Wolfgang Stange’s inspiring choreographic process with AMICI Ross has been passionate about inclusive dance practise ever since. Ross discovered his passion for dance as a cast member in Matthew Bourne’s Lord of The Flies in 2014. This was his first experience of performing on Sadlers Well’s main stage. He has also gone on to perform there again as a part of ENBYouthCo as well as in Wonderlands with the 2019 company of the National Youth Ballet.
