Choreographic Challenge winners announced
We are thrilled to announce the winners of NYB’s 2020 Choreographic Challenge. Over 30 young dancers took part in the challenge and we were astonished by the level of creativity and talent in each of the entries.
During September and October, dancers were challenged to create a one-minute piece of choreography inspired by the theme of re-emergence. Dancers selected one of four specially commissioned pieces of music by young composer Nicola Chang and took part in weekly interactive zoom workshops with industry professionals to support and develop their skills in all areas of the creative process.
