Louise Bennett to return as Artistic Director for 2023 Residential Performance Company
We are pleased to announce that after leading the company through 2022’s ‘re|generation’ season, Louise Bennett (she/her) will return to NYB as Artistic Director of the Residential Performance Company in 2023!
Louise said ‘I am delighted to return to NYB as Artistic Director of the performance company. Leading the company in 2022 was a wonderful experience and I was so inspired by the creativity, kindness and professionalism of the young dancers and the team. I am very excited that this year we can offer an altered format in which the young dancers will have the opportunity to work with multiple practitioners and experience a range of styles, culminating in a showing for an invited audience of friends, family and industry professionals. Having the opportunity to spend time cultivating these creative threads ahead of 2024’s full scale performance season is a hugely exciting prospect and I cannot wait to start this process with the brilliant dancers and team at NYB!’
