Ruth Pugh
Training/Education: Ruth graduated from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance with a degree in Contemporary Dance. She also earned a Level 4 diploma in ballet teaching through the IDTA and is certified as a Postural Stability Instructor (PSI).
Professional Experience: Ruth enjoyed performing after graduating, highlights included: Nobodies Baby by Arthur Pita at The Royal Opera House, and ensemble member in How To Hold Your Breath by Zinnie Harris at the Royal Court. Alongside performing, Ruth developed her teaching career with a focus consistently being on inclusive practice. She left London in 2022 and worked for Northern Ballet as their Outreach dance artist, delivering ballet workshops across Yorkshire and beyond in schools and the wider community. Now based in the West Midlands, Ruth delivers inclusive dance sessions in the community to all ages.
Biggest Inspiration: My childhood dance teacher (and legend) Audree Henwood is a huge inspiration for me and my passion for dance. My goal is to be an inclusive guide, break down barriers and welcome more individuals into the world of dance.
