Alex Harrison

Alex Harrison was born in Cornwall and trained at Elmhurst School for Dance, in association with the Birmingham Royal Ballet. Upon graduation he danced with the Slovak National Ballet and Tulsa Ballet, before joining the Sarasota Ballet in Florida where he was promoted to the rank of First Soloist. He has performed lead or featured roles in works by Frederick Ashton, George Balanchine, Kenneth Macmillan, Jerome Robbins, Twyla Tharp, Christopher Wheeldon and Jiri Kylian as well as productions of the classics.

As a musical theatre performer his theatre credits include: Mister Mistoffelees in the International Tour of “Cats” (China and Europe), ensemble in “On the Town” (Hyogo Performing Arts Centre, Japan), ensemble/cover Alberto Beddini in “Top Hat” (Mill at Sonning Theatre) and ensemble in “42nd St” (Theatre du Châtelet, Paris). For television: Hal/Dolly double in Netflix’s “The Sandman”.

Alex holds a Level 5 Diploma in Dance Teaching with BBO Dance (Distinction) and is currently a full time teacher at Elmhurst Ballet School.
