NYB in the news!

This month, our brilliant NYB Creative Director, Jo Meredith appeared on BBC News and spoke to Naga Munchetty on BBC Radio 5 Live about comments from actor Timothée Chalamet saying “no one cares” about ballet and opera. We definitely do!

At NYB we’re always finding new ways to bring ballet to wider audiences and support dancers who wouldn’t usually have the chance to take part (or who think ballet isn’t for them).

Alongside our inclusive Residential Performance Activities, our NYB All in! programme explores how ballet can be created and taught in ways that are more accessible for d/Deaf, disabled and neurodivergent dancers, so that more young people can experience and enjoy this beautiful art form.
